w. Chris Kasper Sunday, November 11 12pm *All Ages Matinee*$20 Artist's Website: www.tristanprettyman.com | www.chriskasper.comWhy They're Worth Watching:With laid-back melodies springing from finger-picked acoustic guitar, plaintive pedal-steel guitar, Wurlitzer, Hammond organ, and strings, Tristan Prettyman exudes her love of country-blues and folk from the '60s and '70s, artists like The Band, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Dylan. Praised by Rolling Stone as, "one of the more promising young pop folkies," Prettyman is hitting the road in support of her latest album Cedar and Gold (out Sept. 25th, 2012).
Chris Kasper is quietly distinguishing himself from the crowd as a gifted singer/songwriter who follows neither genre nor format. A subtle showman, his songs, records and shows lift from the ground and surround. He has received some national critical acclaim from outlets such as iTunes, Ragged Magazine, ABC and has opened for Amos Lee, The Wood Brothers, and G. Love among others. Most recently, Chris celebrated the completion of his latest recording "The First Hundred Years Are The Hardest" which was produced by friend and peer Andrew Lipke.
