Why They're Worth Watching:
The Carolina Chocolate Drops are a group of young African-American stringband musicians who play the rich tradition of fiddle and banjo music in Carolinas’ piedmont. Members Rhiannon Giddens, Dom Flemons and Justin Robinson strive to carry on the legacies of countless black musicians who have passed beyond memory and recognition, all the while remaining true to their own unique style.
