: The Young Dubliners
Seamlessly blending rock and Celtic influences into a high energy, anthemic and lyrically poignant mix, this band jumps energetically from ballad to barn burner, documenting as they go the vibrant yet chaotic world they find themselves in. From edgy political tunes to the travails of life in an internationally touring band, The Young Dubliners chronicle and tackle it all with joy, wit, enthusiasm and a profound belief that things can get better.
The John Byrne Band is led by former Patrick's Head front man and Dublin native John Byrne. His first solo effort, After the Wake, was released to great critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic in 2010. With influences ranging from The Chieftains to Planxty to Bob Dylan, Johnís songwriting honors and expands upon the musical and lyrical traditions of his native and adopted homes.
